Market Evening Wrap 6th April. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 43,580.36pts with a gap of 32.15pts. Later on index posted a high of 44,478.24pts where a net change of 930.03pts was recorded. While a day low of 43,580.36pts with net change of 32.15pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,404.70pts with net change of 856.49pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 305.96 million shares with net change of 3.18 million shares or 1.05% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 157.97 million shares with net change of 18.77 million shares or 13.49%. TRG, NETSOL and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 20.65, 19.23 and 16.49 and net price change of 7.50, 6.00 and 6.99 percent respectively.

Today, 357 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 257 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 23 companies closed with no change but 77 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. PAKT, COLG and NRL lead the price gainers with net price change of 66.39, 49.99 and 35.17 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, SFL and WYETH remained top three price losers with net price change of -63.97, -59.99 and -16.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 76.42, 37.46 and 20.05 million shares respectively. CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have supported index by adding 192.14, 131.42 and 111.22 points, while on the other side MISCELLANEOUS, CLOSE - END MUTUAL FUND and SUGAR & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -0.36, -0.08 and -0.02 points respectively.
