Market Evening Wrap 6th Nov. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,074.43pts with a gap of 3.13pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,083.75pts where a net change of 12.45pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,679.61pts with net chage of -391.69pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,731.61pts with net chage of -339.69pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 350.41 million shares with net change of -6.18 million shares or -1.73% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 185.32 million shares with net change of -8.06 million shares or -4.17%. UNITY, POWER and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 49.04, 43.61 and 31.30 and net price change of 2.75, 4.51 and 7.48 percent respectively.

Today,343 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 124 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 23 companies closed with no change but 196 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. COLG, SAPT and SFL lead the price gainers with net price change of 73.89, 63.75 and 56.37 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side ILTM, NESTLE and ISIL remained top three price losers with net price change of -86.67, -50.01 and -27.35 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 59.66, 49.06 and 48.36 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and AUTOMOBILE PARTS & ACCESSORIES sectors have supported index by adding 43.60, 7.15 and 2.05 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -110.46, -50.59 and -36.70 points respectively.
