The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,987.79pts with a gap of 30.32pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,087.30pts where a net change of 129.83pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,888.95pts with net change of -68.52pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,918.52pts with net change of -38.95pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 417.78 million shares with net change of -46.74 million shares or -10.06% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 94.85 million shares with net change of -18.86 million shares or -16.59%. TPL, SERFR and TELE remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 59.67, 35.74 and 31.01 and net price change of 5.67, -13.55 and -0.41 percent respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, TEXTILE SPINNING and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 141.53, 42.54 and 20.60 million shares respectively. MISCELLANEOUS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 34.83, 18.41 and 13.47 points, while on the other side CEMENT, FERTILIZER and REFINERY sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -42.95, -29.42 and -16.05 points respectively.
