Market Evening Wrap 6th jul 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,482.73pts with a gap of 53.61pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,665.41pts where a net change of 236.29pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,242.52pts with net change of -186.60pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,346.16pts with net change of -82.96pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 541.17 million shares with net change of 46.98 million shares or 9.51% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 213.11 million shares with net change of 11.24 million shares or 5.57%. HASCOL, WTL and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 49.86, 48.87 and 29.91 and net price change of 10.85, -3.02 and -0.92 percent respectively.

Today, 382 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 121 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 16 companies closed with no change but 245 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. PAKT, EXIDE and SAPL lead the price gainers with net price change of 39.99, 38.76 and 33.20 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, WYETH and SAPT remained top three price losers with net price change of -600.00, -138.42 and -72.07 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 89.78, 60.76 and 40.71 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and TOBACCO sectors have supported index by adding 46.87, 31.38 and 11.72 points, while on the other side POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and REFINERY sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -51.32, -50.06 and -36.76 points respectively.
