The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 30,653.71pts with a gap of 74.56pts. Later on index posted a high of 31,303.13pts where a net change of 723.98pts was recorded.While a day low of 30,653.71pts with net chage of 74.56pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 31,231.55pts with net chage of 652.40pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 172.56 million shares with net change of -60.58 million shares or -25.98% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 142.64 million shares with net change of -38.59 million shares or -21.29%. MLCF, HASCOL and FCCL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 20.39, 19.80 and 9.85 and net price change of 6.29, 7.44 and 2.76 percent respectively.

Today, 315 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 194 out of these closed with net positive price change while 21 closed with no change but 100 companies closed with net negative price change. UPFL, PAKT and SRVI lead the price gainers with net price change of 292.00, 71.99 and 40.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, WYETH and SIEM remained top three price losers with net price change of -50.00, -30.00 and -25.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 54.50, 23.10 and 21.41 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 203.62, 125.23 and 120.97 points, while on the other side AUTOMOBILE PARTS & ACCESSORIES, SUGAR & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -10.29, -3.17 and -1.17 points respectively.
