Market Evening Wrap 7th April. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 44,536.23pts with a gap of 131.53pts. Later on index posted a high of 44,571.91pts where a net change of 167.21pts was recorded. While a day low of 43,758.05pts with net change of -646.65pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 43,953.58pts with net change of -451.12pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 370.53 million shares with net change of 64.57 million shares or 21.10% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 195.15 million shares with net change of 37.17 million shares or 23.53%. TRG, DSL and ANL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 38.33, 30.34 and 22.93 and net price change of 0.80, 19.34 and -0.03 percent respectively.

Today, 355 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 128 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 20 companies closed with no change but 207 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. GATI, UPFL and SFL lead the price gainers with net price change of 582.00, 250.00 and 53.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, BATA and NESTLE remained top three price losers with net price change of -61.00, -40.00 and -40.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, ENGINEERING and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 77.86, 39.09 and 34.28 million shares respectively. CEMENT, INSURANCE and ENGINEERING sectors have supported index by adding 61.96, 31.05 and 20.24 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -155.27, -77.67 and -52.69 points respectively.
