Market Evening Wrap 7th Sep. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 42,142.69pts with a gap of 119.69pts. Later on index posted a high of 42,400.25pts where a net change of 377.25pts was recorded.While a day low of 42,028.50pts with net chage of 5.50pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 42,295.75pts with net chage of 272.75pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 748.89 million shares with net change of -9.18 million shares or -1.21% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 388.89 million shares with net change of -28.41 million shares or -6.81%. POWER, PIBTL and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 72.41, 57.33 and 45.99 and net price change of 10.15, 3.36 and 7.47 percent respectively.

Today,369 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 231 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 21 companies closed with no change but 117 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. UPFL, NESTLE and RMPL lead the price gainers with net price change of 500.00, 189.00 and 107.50 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SFL, SAPT and COLG remained top three price losers with net price change of -63.15, -40.98 and -24.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, COMMERCIAL BANKS and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 120.15, 74.79 and 65.25 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, CEMENT and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 57.84, 57.41 and 30.83 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and PAPER & BOARD sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -44.38, -9.32 and -6.07 points respectively.
