Market Evening Wrap 7th Sep 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,924.61pts with a gap of 6.09pts. Later on index posted a high of 46,994.84pts where a net change of 76.32pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,617.98pts with net change of -300.54pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,729.96pts with net change of -188.56pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 423.67 million shares with net change of 5.89 million shares or 1.41% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 126.00 million shares with net change of 31.15 million shares or 32.84%. TPL, KOSM and PIAA remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 41.82, 33.72 and 29.78 and net price change of 2.76, -1.02 and 6.73 percent respectively.

Today, 380 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 104 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 262 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, BUXL and PKGS lead the price gainers with net price change of 423.75, 27.22 and 22.09 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, WYETH and INDU remained top three price losers with net price change of -50.00, -44.79 and -26.21 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, TEXTILE SPINNING and TRANSPORT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 117.34, 41.57 and 32.58 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 29.23, 16.12 and 14.60 points, while on the other side CEMENT, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -74.27, -33.15 and -32.46 points respectively.
