Market Evening Wrap 7th jul 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,325.10pts with a gap of -21.06pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,375.36pts where a net change of 29.20pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,034.95pts with net change of -311.21pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,248.16pts with net change of -98.00pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 410.25 million shares with net change of -130.92 million shares or -24.19% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 157.70 million shares with net change of -55.40 million shares or -26.00%. FFL, WTL and TPL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 41.18, 30.16 and 20.27 and net price change of 6.60, 1.30 and 7.48 percent respectively.

Today, 393 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 170 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 12 companies closed with no change but 211 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, WYETH and PMPK lead the price gainers with net price change of 249.00, 145.14 and 69.50 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PAKT, SIEM and SHEZ remained top three price losers with net price change of -98.34, -28.99 and -26.54 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 78.34, 55.87 and 26.02 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, PHARMACEUTICALS and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have supported index by adding 31.82, 11.48 and 7.44 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, TOBACCO and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -44.36, -31.24 and -24.54 points respectively.
