The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,418.97pts with a gap of 74.43pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,916.33pts where a net change of 571.79pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,418.97pts with net chage of 74.43pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,654.34pts with net change of 309.80pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 696.41 million shares with net change of 55.00 million shares or 8.58% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 457.58 million shares with net change of 62.86 million shares or 15.93%. BYCO, HUMNL and PRL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 163.81, 44.94 and 38.01 and net price change of 6.12, 4.55 and 1.66 percent respectively.

Today, 383 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 198 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 23 companies closed with no change but 162 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. BHAT, SRVI and AKDCL lead the price gainers with net price change of 61.98, 35.99 and 19.95 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side MARI, GLPL and ATLH remained top three price losers with net price change of -18.57, -8.55 and -7.89 Pkr/share respectively.

Today REFINERY, COMMERCIAL BANKS and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 205.64, 95.48 and 79.11 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 157.46, 33.28 and 29.43 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -15.99, -5.39 and -4.72 points respectively.
