Market Evening Wrap 8th Jul. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 35,445.50pts with a gap of 72.15pts. Later on index posted a high of 35,703.22pts where a net change of 329.87pts was recorded.While a day low of 35,445.10pts with net chage of 71.75pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 35,694.89pts with net chage of 321.54pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 317.68 million shares with net change of -16.17 million shares or -4.84% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 205.99 million shares with net change of -35.06 million shares or -14.54%. TRG, PAEL and MLCF remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 38.31, 20.60 and 17.50 and net price change of 6.34, 2.13 and 0.89 percent respectively.

Today, 352 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 209 out of these closed in positive zone while 24 closed with no price change but 119 companies closed with net negative price change. UPFL, INDU and IDYM lead the price gainers with net price change of 90.00, 51.78 and 44.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, PMRS and NESTLE remained top three price losers with net price change of -215.00, -50.92 and -50.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 67.74, 44.87 and 31.89 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have supported index by adding 169.10, 34.25 and 28.32 points, while on the other side POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -16.22, -7.36 and -4.76 points respectively.
