The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,340.93pts with a gap of 38.27pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,409.88pts where a net change of 107.22pts was recorded. While a day low of 48,000.26pts with net change of -302.40pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 48,147.98pts with net change of -154.68pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 1,040.50 million shares with net change of 104.42 million shares or 11.16% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 265.11 million shares with net change of -54.92 million shares or -17.16%. WTL, BYCO and HUMNL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 399.96, 37.80 and 35.12 and net price change of 4.00, -2.09 and -3.00 percent respectively.

Today, 396 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 136 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 16 companies closed with no change but 244 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, RMPL and SIEM lead the price gainers with net price change of 69.52, 65.00 and 47.33 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side UPFL, WYETH and BATA remained top three price losers with net price change of -699.00, -182.57 and -31.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, MISCELLANEOUS and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 528.43, 70.38 and 61.13 million shares respectively. POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and Investment sectors have supported index by adding 27.18, 11.31 and 8.79 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, FERTILIZER and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -80.56, -51.83 and -39.87 points respectively.
