Market Evening Wrap 8th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,582.82pts with a gap of 232.40pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,769.44pts where a net change of 419.02pts was recorded.While a day low of 34,577.50pts with net change of 227.08pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,749.57pts with net change of 399.15pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 222.40 million shares with net change of 133.27 million shares or 149.53% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 144.05 million shares with net change of 90.35 million shares or 168.26%. TRG, PRLR1 and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 19.50, 18.87 and 13.18 and net price change of 4.44, -13.41 and 2.93 percent respectively.

Today, 328 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 205 out of these closed with net positive price change while 17 companies closed with no change but 106 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, WYETH and SRVI lead the price gainers with net price change of 90.00, 31.25 and 25.68 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, IDYM and NESTLE remained top three price losers with net price change of -49.00, -26.01 and -20.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 38.10, 32.69 and 15.98 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 134.09, 87.37 and 41.46 points, while on the other side FERTILIZER, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and Investment sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -21.82, -14.57 and -6.59 points respectively.
