Market Evening Wrap 8th Sep. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 42,346.75pts with a gap of 51.00pts. Later on index posted a high of 42,528.49pts where a net change of 232.74pts was recorded.While a day low of 41,912.60pts with net chage of -383.15pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,985.19pts with net chage of -310.56pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 884.36 million shares with net change of 135.47 million shares or 18.09% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 514.88 million shares with net change of 125.99 million shares or 32.40%. HASCOL, PIBTL and POWER remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 134.04, 66.01 and 58.05 and net price change of -7.47, -1.74 and -4.42 percent respectively.

Today,365 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 110 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 17 companies closed with no change but 238 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, JLICL and ISIL lead the price gainers with net price change of 250.00, 33.10 and 28.74 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, ILTM and IDYM remained top three price losers with net price change of -149.00, -65.29 and -40.99 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, CEMENT and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 149.05, 100.40 and 89.60 million shares respectively. FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS, REFINERY and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 13.62, 13.02 and 5.24 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -102.40, -57.32 and -39.18 points respectively.
