Market Evening Wrap 8th Sep 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,756.41pts with a gap of 26.45pts. Later on index posted a high of 46,875.49pts where a net change of 145.53pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,309.86pts with net change of -420.10pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,396.71pts with net change of -333.25pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 473.12 million shares with net change of 49.45 million shares or 11.67% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 143.48 million shares with net change of 17.47 million shares or 13.87%. TPL, TELE and GGL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 39.05, 37.43 and 35.37 and net price change of 0.95, 7.14 and 7.49 percent respectively.

Today, 387 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 122 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 15 companies closed with no change but 250 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, AWTX and INDU lead the price gainers with net price change of 90.75, 81.39 and 30.52 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, MARI and LUCK remained top three price losers with net price change of -40.00, -34.67 and -31.43 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CHEMICAL and TRANSPORT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 128.30, 40.30 and 33.77 million shares respectively. MISCELLANEOUS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and PHARMACEUTICALS sectors have supported index by adding 39.08, 14.03 and 11.67 points, while on the other side CEMENT, COMMERCIAL BANKS and CHEMICAL sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -137.73, -61.28 and -60.86 points respectively.
