Market Evening Wrap 9th Dec. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 42,034.43pts with net change of 676.87pts during current trading session and in next hour it slide down to post its day low at 42,005.37pts where net change remained 647.81pts. Later on index moved towards its day high 42,556.01pts where net change of 1,198.45pts was recorded. While session suspended at 42,523.07pts with net change of 1,165.51pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor today again maintained its positive trend and 362.49 million shares were traded where a net increment of 82.42 million shares or 29.43% was recorded on DoD basis. While same trend was followed by KSE100 index listed companies and total volume of those companies settled at 249.49 million shares with net change of 40.22 million shares or 19.22%. BOP, KEL and UNITY lead the volume numbers with net price change of 6.18, 6.77 and 6.25 percent and net trading volume of 53.07, 33.46 and 24.24 million shares respectively.

Today, 361 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 310 out of these close with net positive price change while 9 companies closed in neutral zone but 42 companies closed with a net negative change. MARI, SRVI and SHEZ lead the price gainers with net price change of 55.44, 27.46 and 23.50 Rs/share. While on the other side SFL,b PMPK and BHAT remained top three price loser with net price change of -45.00, -36.00 and -14.00 Rs./share.

Banks, Technology and Power sectors remained volume leaders with trading volume of 81.29, 44.65 and 39.34 million shares. Banks, Exploration and Fertilizer sectors have lead index into positive zone by adding 335.83, 155.53 and 126.34 points.
