Market Evening Wrap 9th Jul. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 35,836.62pts with a gap of 141.73pts. Later on index posted a high of 36,190.70pts where a net change of 495.81pts was recorded.While a day low of 35,822.33pts with net chage of 127.44pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 36,142.17pts with net chage of 447.28pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 467.48 million shares with net change of 149.80 million shares or 47.15% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 333.34 million shares with net change of 127.35 million shares or 61.82%. UNITY, PAEL and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 40.65, 39.60 and 38.45 and net price change of 8.51, 3.86 and 1.85 percent respectively.

Today, 351 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 215 out of these closed in positive zone while 20 closed with no price change but 116 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.NESTLE, HINO and SCL lead the price gainers with net price change of 105.00, 32.59 and 15.76 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side UPFL, PMRS and SAPL remained top three price losers with net price change of -90.00, -49.70 and -39.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 62.20, 60.78 and 41.07 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have supported index by adding 228.58, 86.22 and 40.86 points, while on the other side PHARMACEUTICALS, AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER and TEXTILE SPINNING sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -13.58, -9.55 and -2.37 points respectively.
