The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,211.99pts with a gap of 64.01pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,311.92pts where a net change of 163.94pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,725.94pts with net change of -422.04pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,777.62pts with net change of -370.36pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 1,355.16 million shares with net change of 314.66 million shares or 30.24% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 296.73 million shares with net change of 31.61 million shares or 11.92%. WTL, HUMNL and KEL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 716.81, 75.86 and 59.63 and net price change of 15.93, 3.21 and 1.69 percent respectively.

Today, 391 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 124 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 253 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. ILTM, INDU and MEHT lead the price gainers with net price change of 154.12, 60.34 and 26.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, NESTLE and WYETH remained top three price losers with net price change of -190.00, -61.07 and -19.23 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and MISCELLANEOUS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 885.35, 109.65 and 40.10 million shares respectively. REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and PHARMACEUTICALS sectors have supported index by adding 10.71, 9.26 and 9.12 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -103.26, -100.19 and -52.68 points respectively.
