Market Evening Wrap 9th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,768.53pts with a gap of 18.96pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,855.39pts where a net change of 105.82pts was recorded.While a day low of 34,688.12pts with net change of -61.45pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,803.60pts with net change of 54.03pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 238.27 million shares with net change of 15.87 million shares or 7.13% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 145.55 million shares with net change of 1.50 million shares or 1.04%. LOTCHEM, JSCL and PRLR1 remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 36.28, 13.28 and 9.80 and net price change of 7.48, 2.88 and -14.14 percent respectively.

Today, 338 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 169 out of these closed with net positive price change while 25 companies closed with no change but 144 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, SAPL and IDYM lead the price gainers with net price change of 110.00, 23.86 and 15.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side UPFL, RMPL and SAPT remained top three price losers with net price change of -598.00, -134.99 and -55.42 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CHEMICAL, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 47.13, 23.02 and 21.19 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and PHARMACEUTICALS sectors have supported index by adding 57.25, 17.93 and 17.81 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, FERTILIZER and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -37.94, -19.12 and -15.83 points respectively.
