Market Evening Wrap 9th Nov. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,832.61pts with a gap of 101.00pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,943.80pts where a net change of 212.19pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,596.99pts with net chage of -134.62pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,784.04pts with net chage of 52.43pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 276.79 million shares with net change of -73.62 million shares or -21.01% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 148.29 million shares with net change of -37.03 million shares or -19.98%. POWER, TRG and PAEL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 36.54, 31.98 and 19.21 and net price change of 0.28, 4.84 and 2.78 percent respectively.

Today,333 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 132 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 25 companies closed with no change but 176 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. COLG, RMPL and ILTM lead the price gainers with net price change of 150.10, 99.00 and 80.17 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, IDYM and SRVI remained top three price losers with net price change of -99.99, -42.84 and -29.81 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 48.94, 44.53 and 22.51 million shares respectively. PHARMACEUTICALS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 34.58, 29.42 and 26.04 points, while on the other side CEMENT, AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -33.12, -17.76 and -11.02 points respectively.
