Market Evening Wrap 9th jul 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,045.25pts with a gap of -7.92pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,045.25pts where a net change of -7.92pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,544.08pts with net change of -509.09pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,563.45pts with net change of -489.72pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 505.95 million shares with net change of 30.84 million shares or 6.49% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 124.66 million shares with net change of -63.23 million shares or -33.65%. TPL, PACE and WTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 41.98, 27.11 and 25.78 and net price change of 7.02, 4.10 and -1.79 percent respectively.

Today, 374 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 153 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 8 companies closed with no change but 213 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, NESTLE and BATA lead the price gainers with net price change of 501.00, 100.00 and 56.50 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PAKT, GATI and KHTC remained top three price losers with net price change of -75.44, -37.68 and -33.85 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, Investment and MISCELLANEOUS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 105.00, 68.52 and 36.60 million shares respectively. Investment, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and TEXTILE SPINNING sectors have supported index by adding 19.10, 8.84 and 1.91 points, while on the other side CEMENT, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -92.69, -80.65 and -65.51 points respectively.
