The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,047.98pts with a gap of 116.75pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,062.14pts where a net change of 130.91pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,820.09pts with net chage of -111.14pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,021.97pts with net chage of 90.74pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 198.05 million shares with net change of -34.93 million shares or -14.99% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 124.11 million shares with net change of -42.30 million shares or -25.42%. PAEL, UNITY and FFL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 22.74, 14.23 and 11.38 and net price change of 4.73, 1.49 and 3.43 percent respectively.

Today, 335 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 120 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 20 companies closed with no change but 195 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.COLG, ABOT and ATLH lead the price gainers with net price change of 49.00, 20.04 and 20.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, NESTLE and WYETH remained top three price losers with net price change of -199.00, -118.33 and -67.61 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CABLE & ELECTRICAL GOODS and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 24.63, 23.51 and 16.76 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and CABLE & ELECTRICAL GOODS sectors have supported index by adding 160.86, 48.32 and 5.86 points, while on the other side CEMENT, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and INSURANCE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -40.41, -26.24 and -20.19 points respectively.
